The Edna

The Edna is the original name given to the apartments on the north side of the building at its birth in the late 1800's. At that time, Edna was one of the most popular names given to baby girls in America. Edna, originating in biblical Hebrew, means “pleasure, rejuvenation, delight,” which is an apt description of the view one has from the balcony of the Edna apartment. Living the vibrant Downtown Saratoga at its best.

The Covent Garden

The Covent Garden House is the largest and most exquisite apartment in the Algonquin.  The original elaborate woodwork in this apartment has been expertly preserved and its entire décor is reminiscent of the timeless elegance of the Algonquin.  This apartment is named for the Covent Garden House, essentially an entertainment house on the grounds of the Pavilion Hotel, which existed on this very spot before the Algonquin was built.  Dubbed by historians, “the pleasure house” of Saratoga – it is a fitting title for this apartment.
